The site is situated south of the main road of the new development district in SuzhouCity. The neighbourhood has a large entertainment and recreation complex, shopping malls, holiday hotels, public gardens and 6 to 20 storey high apartment complexes. The east and south sides of the site run along the city canal in a peaceful surrounding. The concept is to create a residential village set in a river environment extending the waterway from the existing canal and crossing the site in a diagonal pattern. Every unit is provided with both a water side and garden side orientation. The layout provides a variety of residential dwellings including 20 to 28 storey high apartment blocks, 8 storey high duplex apartments and 4 storey high walk up units. A large shopping mall is planned at the northern part of the side adjacent to Xie Shan Road to provide the shopping facilities needed for a residential district. The district is also provided with a clubhouse and other recreational facilities making it a self-contained garden district.
The concept here is to design a residential district set in landscape garden and waterways, providing a luxurious environment despite a relatively high plot ratio of 4.
